This is a pro-bono Unpaid volunteer position. JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls. Under the direction of the Head of Human Capital, the Learning & Development Specialist will plan, organize and manage training and development activities for all volunteers. This includes assessing training needs & implementing training for existing volunteers as well as conducting training for all new volunteers joining JerseySTEM team. Examples of projects include Recruitment workflow training, Recruitment tools training and partnering with operational leaders for their specific training needs.

JERSEYSTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (“STEM”) education to 5th-8th grade girls in New Jersey underserved communities.   We partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities. Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online after school projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.   Join our mission as Head of Marketing and provide leadership to the marketing team and JerseySTEM for the design, development, and implementation of marketing material and internal/external communications of policies, programs and systems to align with and support the strategic goals and objectives of JerseySTEM.  This position works closely with all functional leads to ensure cohesive, coordinated messaging and branding of JerseySTEM.

Classes include: Robotics, Coding, Engineering, Life Sciences, etc. Classes last up to 10 weeks and are predominantly taught by trained volunteer college students.   The Brand Marketing Lead oversees a team of marketers responsible for executing JerseySTEM's social and program marketing initiatives. This role will report into the Head of Marketing and will work cross-functionally with various department leads.

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.   JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.   The Operational Excellence Department Head identifies and implements best practices and operational effectiveness/efficiencies for work management at JerseySTEM. They will manage a team of Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, JIRA SME, Slack SME and Process Specialist.

Candidates will be evaluated by JerseySTEM's Operational Excellence Management team which includes a technical committee of Agile coaches and business managers.

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.   JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.   The JIRA Subject Matter Expert builds filters, custom dashboards, and reports to provide end-users and leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports using JIRA tools. Also will create user training to ensure all team members understand how to effectively and efficiently utilize JIRA for managing tasks.

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.   JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.   The Google Workspace Subject Matter Expert would be responsible for assessing existing and best practices for utilizing Google (gmail, doc, sheet,drive...) as the “office” package for JerseySTEM.  These best practices would need to be documented, communicated throughout the organization and successfully implemented.

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.   JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.   The Business process specialist provides and supports the implementation of operational change/process improvement initiatives by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; working closely with these stakeholders to ensure alignment and development of efficient and effective processes in line with strategic business objectives.  They are responsible for gathering, verifying, processing, analyzing and documenting data from organizational departments. 

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.   JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy (3-4 hours/week) as long-term engagement (6 months) for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.   We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Administrator to join our dynamic Operational Excellence (OPEX) team. As an Azure Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our web hosting infrastructure, WordPress sites, SFTP, MS SQL databases, and Gitlab hosting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Azure technologies, with a focus on Azure Identity, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Active Directory, and Azure.

Curricula developed by PODS is delivered/taught by College Students who are the Volunteer Program Instructors (non professional educators).
